I loathe leaving the comforts of my home to go stay in some stupid hotel, where I won’t have my bed, or access to my books, or even get to eat cooked by my mum. But when work calls you answer, and when work stays you have got to go stay in Vadodara for a month, you pack your bags and ask when do I have to leave, right?
So, even though I hate it I realized I had to go to Vadodara, hundreds of kilometers away from my home, my rooms, and basically all my stuff. The one part I was hating especially was that I knew I had to stay in a hotel in Vadodara, since I did not have any relatives there, and that is anyway more complicated. So I resigned myself to my fate, and checked into the hotel booked by my office travel liaison.

My only request was to make sure that they book one of those hotels in Vadodara near Airport, so that I would not have to waste time getting stuck in traffic. And I might be able to salvage a few hours more of sleep, be it an early or a late flight. When I reached Lemon Tree Hotel I liked the overall look, and after a speedy check-in I got a beautiful room with a view then I realized this is probably the best that I could have had. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, and the hotel staff was cheerful as well.
